Daylily
Hemerocallis sp.

Daylilies are a popular and reliable perennial that will grow in sun to light shade in a variety of soils. They do best in soils that are well drained and rich in organic matter. They also benefit from an addition of superphosphate in the spring. There are numerous cultivars available that will produce plants from 12 inches to four feet tall and offer bloom periods from late spring to late summer.
