URBANA, Ill. — Hearing is not merely a sense but serves as a gateway to communication and connection with the world. However, many individuals face challenges with hearing loss, significantly impacting their daily lives. Recognizing this, individuals must educate themselves and understand the importance of hearing health.

Individuals struggling with hearing issues are invited to attend an informative virtual seminar on Hearing Health and Teleaudiology presented by University of Illinois Extension. The virtual seminar will allow attendees to explore everything about hearing health and teleaudiology services provided by the University of Illinois.

“Through teleaudiology, specialists can remotely adjust newer model hearing aids without requiring an office visit,” says Dr. Sadie Braun, audiologist and clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois Department of Speech and Hearing Science. "Furthermore, individuals can easily access follow-up hearing aid services through telehealth, with very limited in-person visits needed at our Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Clinic in Champaign."
