Bundle Up for Fun

Debbie McClellan, family life educator

Playing outside isn’t just a warm weather event. You and your grandkids can have fun playing together outdoors, even in cold weather.

Being physically active together is good for you and your grandchildren.

Not only can you build a strong and fit body, but exercise can reduce your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer and high blood pressure.

And when kids have a chance to blow off steam with vigorous exercise, they behave better throughout the day. Best of all, it’s fun and it creates wonderful memories.

So bundle up and get outside for some cold-weather fun.
