OBJECTIVE
Students will collect egg cartons from different companies and examine how they are made, how they keep the eggs separate from one another, and how they resist impact. Using this information they will design an egg carton for the future.
MATERIALS
Inexpensive materials that are simple to assemble.
Procedure
Note: This lesson will work nicely with "How Fragile Is An Egg?"
Students will examine the egg cartons that have been collected and record their findings.
Using the knowledge gained by examining the egg cartons, they will divide into groups of four and design a better egg carton.
