Cranberry Turkey Meatball Appetizers

Ingredients
  • 1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
  • 1 -14 ounce can whole cranberry sauce
  • ½ cup original type barbeque sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
  • Black pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Combine ground turkey, egg, green onions, soy sauce, black pepper and bread crumbs in a medium bowl. Mix well and shape into 24 balls.
  2. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and cook turkey meatballs over medium heat until slightly browned. Turn once after browned on one side and continue cooking another 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  3. Heat cranberry and barbeque sauces in a medium sauce pan until well mixed. Pour over turkey meatballs, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until meatballs reach internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit.
