Soybean Aphid

Soybean leaves crinkling, cupping and turning yellow last year led to the discovery of a new pest the soybean aphid. The aphid is very small (2 to 4 mm) and pale green aphid. It pierces the leaves and sucks fluids from soybean leaves and stems, causing injury. Many questions still exist regarding the type of damage this insect can do, how to set economic thresholds and what control measures are effective.
